Nicole:: Senior 2009

I guess I have my sister to thank for this session.  She's one of my biggest fans, and always displays my latest work to her co-workers at St. John's Clinic in Ozark, MO.  It was on one of my many visits there, that I met Dia, who informed me that her daughter was a senior this year and still in need of some senior pictures.  Meet Nicole; a senior at Ozark High.  She's on the diving team and the varsity cheerleading squad, and.... she's absolutely beautiful!
I'm sure most people who live in Ozark think that it doesn't have much to offer, but I strongly disagree.  This town was busting at the seams with cool places and backgrounds.  I could have shot all day... and I almost did :)

At times, she was a little unsure of how her posing would turn out, but she totally rocked this session!  I love it when I work with clients with such a natural ability to be photographed!

I have so many more images; I can't wait to finish them and share the rest!  Nicole, thank you for choosing me for your session!  I had a blast and hope they are everything you imagined!  I wish you all the best as you finish out your senior year!

Snow Day:: Part two

I almost forgot to post these!  Paul and I went over to his sister's the weekend of our last snow, and spent some time hanging out with the kids.  My hands were frozen, but I didn't care... it was great stuff to capture!  I love this one of Paul... so rugged and handsome... "sigh"...
This next image is out of focus, but the expression was timeless!  I love it!

be still my heart....
I love this one of my sister-in-law with her girls.  What a great moment!

I'm currently in Southeast Missouri with my sister and parents.  We're celebrating Joah's 1st birthday this weekend.  Wow!  I can't believe a year has already gone by!  I spent yesterday in Ozark, and shot a senior session of Nicole ...I can't wait to post them!  She is beautiful and totally rocked out the session!  Look out for those images in the next few days!

Snow Day

I'm sure most of you were like me yesterday, and were surprised at the amount of snow we woke up to!  The weather here has been so crazy:  70s one day and snow the next.  I guess only in Kansas right?  Although it was cold, I still felt inspired to go out and snag a few pics.  The first few pics are shots of some of my vintage camera collection.  Those of you who know me, know I'm always on the lookout for these... I'm sure it drives some of you nuts.  :)

I begged my husband to go out with me to the park across the street from our neighborhood.  It was so cold but I can never get tired of snow... especially the kind we got yesterday.  It was like a giant cloud had settled over everything.  These next images I applied some new textures to.  I'm still not quite sure how I like them.  I'd love to hear feedback from others!

I think out of all of them, this last one is my favorite.  I liked the way the snow "painted" the bottom of Paul's pants as he trudged through the snow.

About Christina

One of my favorite memories from my own wedding, aside from marrying my husband, was when my Dad walked me down the aisle and I leaned over and whispered to him, "I'll always be your little girl."  I love that moment!
     It's moments that make up our lives, defines who we are, and ultimately create our destinies.  Many such moments have brought me to where I am today.  I began photographing in 2001, and began Sandberg Photography in the fall of 2006.  This has been a huge dream of mine, and I believe that God has given me a gift of capturing unique and special moments; without Him, I am truly nothing!  I owe this dream to Him!
