More updates on the bridal booth

Here is my last post on my bridal booth before the show next Sunday, November 1st. Remember, if you plan on attending The Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal Show, be sure to look me up... Booth #1, to your right as you walk in the door, and at the end of the aisle.

I feel I might have gone a bit overboard with this. This thing is HUGE. But it looks amazing! There are two walls, 10' wide x 8' tall, with 3 panels each, totaling 6 panels. We still have a bit of painting to add, and then we will mount all the prints, and add the track lighting at the set-up the day before.

I'm still waiting on some prints, and marketing materials to arrive. Ahhh... talk about last minute! Crossing my fingers and praying HARD that everything arrives on time.

Luke

Earlier this afternoon, I did a brief portrait session of my nephew, Luke. We had to hurry as the clouds were rolling in. This was probably the fastest portrait session I've ever done!

Although I love a good thunderstorm every now and then, I did not appreciate today's rain, as it caused my engagement shoot to be canceled. I was looking forward to this shoot very much :(

Sneak Peek :: Sarah

I just finished a photo session with my dear friend, Sarah, and I just couldn't wait to share a few images from our session! I love this girl! Her laugh is so infectious! If you know Sarah at all, you know what I mean!

I'll share more from this session soon, as well as more updates on my bridal show booth!

Bridal show booth update

Well, I'm almost down to one week till the Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal Show! Ahhh... so much yet left to do! My booth is almost done, with much thanks to my brother-in-law, David (aka- Norm Abram) and my wonderful husband. My nephew, Luke, even got in on the work.

This weekend, we plan to do a mock set-up, and put on all the finishing touches. Stay tuned for pictures of the finished product!

Family Portraits :: Tiffany & Alan

I finished out my weekend back at home with a family portrait session for Tiffany and Alan, and Tiffany's two sons, Kyle and Ethan. I used to babysit these two boys when I was in high school. In fact, I did my first "portrait session" of these two when they were little, and gave the images as gifts to their families. You could say those pictures were the start of my photographic career :)

We did our session at Eagle Sky, which is only a few miles from where I grew up. It is such a beautiful area. I still, to this day, don't know why I haven't moved back... this time of the year, my hometown is simply breath-taking!

Tiffany, we've talked about this session for quite some time. I'm so happy I was finally able to do this for you!

Brenda and Tim :: October 10, 2009

It's been awhile since I've posted a wedding, so I feel I must warn you... I put a whole smattering of images in this post!

This wedding was so much fun for me! I grew up in southeast Missouri, and spent tons of time romping about throughout Sam. A. Baker State Park. I moved away right after graduation about 11 years ago. When I first left, I never thought I'd miss it, but now, I love every chance I have to go back. This wedding was a very welcome excuse for me to go back. On the bride's side, it was one big family reunion.

I was a little nervous about this wedding. It was an outdoor wedding, and my whole drive down was in pouring rain. But just before the rehearsal on Friday night, the rain stopped and the sun shone down on us the entire wedding day. It was such a beautiful day, and such a beautiful wedding! Now on to the images....

Brenda and Tim, I am so honored, and so blessed to have been a part of your day! Thank you for this opportunity, and I wish you all the best in your new life together!

Sneak Peek :: Brenda & Tim

I drove a total of 6 hours in a rain storm to get to southeast Missouri, but it was totally worth it. Today was an absolutely gorgeous day for a wedding, and what a gorgeous wedding it was! My feet are killing me right now, and I am exhausted, but it's all good. I was able to see and spend time with a lot of family members that I hadn't seen much of in years. Before I head off to bed to enjoy some much needed slumber, I thought I'd leave you all with a sneak peek of my wedding today.

Bridal show

The Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal Show is just around the corner! The fall bridal show is November 1st at the Overland Park Convention Center. If you are going, be sure to look for me there. I will be in booth #1 (I think), just to your right, at the end, as you enter the Convention Center. Below are a couple of images of my husband and brother-in-law beginning the building process of my booth. These were taken just two days ago, and already they have the framing done, and are getting ready to attach the main part of the walls! They are working faster than I can take pictures!

I'm heading out of town this weekend for a wedding, but hopefully, I'll be able to get some more shots of the progress next week!

trip to the pumpkin patch

Last week, I had the opportunity to go on a school field trip to Johnson Farms off 177th and Holmes Rd. What a beautiful place! They provide a wonderful experience for school groups and families. The trip began with a brief history of the farm, and a few rules for handling the pumpkins, and then we took off on a hayride to the pumpkin fields. After searching for the perfect pumpkin, we were taken back down, and spent some time in the play area and got to see some really cute farm animals.

What a great place to spend a beautiful fall day!

About Christina

One of my favorite memories from my own wedding, aside from marrying my husband, was when my Dad walked me down the aisle and I leaned over and whispered to him, "I'll always be your little girl."  I love that moment!
     It's moments that make up our lives, defines who we are, and ultimately create our destinies.  Many such moments have brought me to where I am today.  I began photographing in 2001, and began Sandberg Photography in the fall of 2006.  This has been a huge dream of mine, and I believe that God has given me a gift of capturing unique and special moments; without Him, I am truly nothing!  I owe this dream to Him!
