Welcome Ellianna Reese!

This morning, I had the wonderful opportunity of meeting Ellianna Reese.  She entered the world at 4am this morning, and she is absolutely gorgeous!  I am so happy for, and so very proud of my friend!

Ellianna, I pray God's blessings on your new little life.  You're gonna need it... you are entering a world with two older brothers!

One 3yr old + newborn twins = A Full House!

Over the weekend, Paul and I drove over to Salina, KS to shoot a family with newborn twins. In addition to the newborns, they also have a 3yr son. What a wonderful family! I am certain that dull moments will fail to exist in this family! :)

He's going to be such a great big brother!

Gabrielle Lauren

Gabrielle Lauren was born on Friday, December 19, 2008 weighing 5 pounds, 10 ounces, and measuring 17 1/2 inches long.  She was a dream come true, and a precious gift.  On December 24, she was diagnosed with Trisomy 18.

Trisomy 18 is a form of Down Syndrome and affects the heart, kidneys, and brain.  The doctors have only given her a month to live.  With the help of a group called Carousel, Gabrielle's parents, Wes and Chrissy, were able to take her home just a few days after her diagnosis.  Carousel is a non-profit organization that helps families of children with shortened life expectancies. For Wes and Chrissy, Carousel has provided a car bed, a home oxygen machine, and hospice care 2-3 times a week.  This has been a tremendous help.

Some of you may remember one of my brides from last year, Jennifer.  She contacted me last week about Gabrielle, and asked if I would be willing to take some pictures.  I immediately accepted.  Gabrielle is so precious, and is such a little fighter.  I was so honored to do this session.

I love Chrissy's expressions here... so peaceful... so loving. 

This session will forever be in my heart.  I checked in on the meaning behind the name Gabrielle, and found it to be so fitting... "God is my strength"

Wes and Chrissy, thank you for allowing me into your home, and into your lives. Gabrielle will be in my prayers.

Welcome Baby Joah!

I'm an Aunt! I'm so excited! Last week I went to visit my sister and meet my new nephew for the first time. He is so precious...I only wish I lived closer to see him more often.

My parents were anxiously awaiting Joah's arrival. Evesdropping has become one of their many skills.
The first grandchild...I still can't see my parents as being old enough to be grandparents.
My sister and brother-in-law with Joah...I know Jay couldn't wait for him to get here.

I'm going to be his favorite Aunt for sure!
He just makes my heart melt!

These pictures are now outdated as Joah is now two weeks old and changing every day. It was so hard for me to leave and return to KC... I can't wait to see him again!
