Brittany & Justin :: video sneak peek

Brittany and I go back several years. Her Grandpa, Don, and his wife Sandi took me in when I moved here from my small Missouri town. I ended up living with them for four years! They are such amazing people and have been such a blessing in my life. I can't ever thank them enough for all their love and support! Needless to say, I didn't have to think twice when Don called me to take pictures for his grandaughter. Brittany and Justin will marry this August. Below is a video sample of their engagement session we did last Saturday. (Note: this is a low resolution preview)

Libby and Travis :: Sneak Peek

Here is a sneak peek from Travis and Libby's wedding last week. Their ceremony was held at the Pilgrim Chapel located in the Hyde Park Historic District of Kansas City, Missouri; north of the Country Club Plaza. Once again, I am in the midst of a busy season; look for their images online in a couple of weeks!

It never fails...at every wedding, someone is always on a cell phone.
Husband and Wife!

Their reception was held at the Screenland Theatre. This was my first time there, and it's a pretty cool place with lots of movie history.

I loved this cake! Very unique!

These two were perfect for each other. I loved watching Libby in the moments before the wedding... she could hardly contain her excitement, and I don't think Travis stopped smiling at all that day. Congratulations you two! I can't wait to show you the rest!

Camping Fun :: Sam A Baker State Park

I always enjoyed camping when we were younger, however, I do not enjoy it in the summer. Granted the summer time is best for water activities, but not for sitting around a campfire or sleeping in a tent. Sam A Baker State Park is located in my home town of Patterson, MO. My brother and his wife are both working there this summer, and because of that, we were able to get sort of a back stage pass to the park. It was great to spend some time with them, as well as with my Mom and Dad. (Click on the photos to enlarge and view them better.)
Note: some images were taken with a cheap point-and-shoot; please don't judge my ability by all of them :)

My Dad, with his walking stick below, reminds me of Old Man River.
It was so great to see my brother. He and I, along with Paul went floating on what was supposed to be a short trip on innertubes...Matthew kept telling us our exit was just around the next bend. When ended up getting caught in a storm and had to make a quick exit, and found we were still far away from our campsite.
Mike and Jodi are the park managers, and they blessed us with a great kayaking/canoeing trip. Everyone in the kayaks, except me, flipped over. We had several rough areas and one area with a tree over the entire river. It was a great teamwork experience, as well as a ton of fun!
As much as I enjoyed this trip, it was great to get back to my own home with my own toliet and shower!
There are many more images posted on my website at http://www.sandbergphoto.com/ for those of you who are interested. Make sure to go to Client Proofs when you get to the site!

Joah :: 3 Months

I can't believe my nephew is over three months old now! Paul and I decided to go to my home town to do some camping, and on our way we stopped in Springfield to see my sister and nephew, Joah. He's smiling a lot now and rolling over. I'm not fond of being three hours away!
This image below reminds me a lot of my sister's pictures at this age. I think she was always worried I was going to torture her.

So cute! I can't wait to see him again! He'll probably be sitting up once that time gets here. For more images of Joah, go to my site at www.sandbergphoto.com and then click on Client Proofs.

Backyard Fun

In previous posts, I mentioned the many recent sessions that had kept me quite busy. In the next few posts, I will share a little on my life outside of my editing room.

A couple of weeks ago, Paul's Dad and Step mom came into town. We had them over one evening for dinner and margaritas. It's been awhile since we've been back out on our deck; the weather has been so hot and muggy. I'm not a fan of being cooped up indoors.

Jennie :: Senior 2008

Jennie and her family moved next door to us last summer, and even though we don't see each other often, they've been such a blessing to us just by being our neighbors. I found out Jennie had graduated this past winter and was planning a party this summer to celebrate, so I offered to do some portraits for her.

She was a bit uncomfortable in front of the camera, but we ended up with a lot of great images. Congratulations Jennie!

About Christina

One of my favorite memories from my own wedding, aside from marrying my husband, was when my Dad walked me down the aisle and I leaned over and whispered to him, "I'll always be your little girl."  I love that moment!
     It's moments that make up our lives, defines who we are, and ultimately create our destinies.  Many such moments have brought me to where I am today.  I began photographing in 2001, and began Sandberg Photography in the fall of 2006.  This has been a huge dream of mine, and I believe that God has given me a gift of capturing unique and special moments; without Him, I am truly nothing!  I owe this dream to Him!
