Welcome Luke!

What a small world! Krista contacted me out of the blue to photograph her newborn, Luke, this past Monday. When I arrived at her home, we both instantly felt we knew each other. We discovered that we had met back in 2003, when I worked at the Children's Center for the Visually Impaired. I was a TA for a preschool class and Krista was doing her student work in occupational therapy. Who knew?!
Luke's older brother, Ben, was such a flirt...I couldn't help getting a few shots of him as well.

Luke is so adorable and was so calm through most of the session...he especially loved to be wrapped in his fuzzy blanket...who wouldn't?!

This was such a fun little session. I enjoy going on location, and especially into my clients homes. I feel they are much more relaxed and it makes for great images. Unfortunately, I had to head out of town right after this session for a funeral. I am hoping to get all of the images posted by the end of this weekend.

White Christmas:: Minnesota

I finally found some time to post a few images from our trip to Minnesota. As soon as we got back in town I had tons of work waiting for me...finally I am caught up! When we arrived in Minnesota, we were greeted with about 4-5 inches of snow; with more snow the next day. Christmas day dumped a lot more on us...leaving snow totals around 12 inches! Wednesday was the perfect day to be outside, so Paul and I decided to go out and play.

We found a great little spot in a grove of pine trees....it would make the perfect hideout or fort for any child with a great imagination! It was in this same spot that we found where several deer had been sleeping.

There was a ton of snow, but not the kind needed for sledding...below was my feeble attempt at it.
My sister-in-law has begun crocheting...she looked so adorable all bundled up on the couch with her yarn and needles!

I love the holidays, but am glad to be done with traveling! I am now looking forward to new bookings for 2008 and designing some wedding albums for my brides from last year. There have been a few updates to my website and more to come. I want to thank all of you who supported me last year and made it a successful one! God Bless!

Christmas in Branson

Since this year we are all spending Christmas with our in-laws, my family decided to do our own Christmas early in Branson. We only stayed for a weekend...I wish it could have been longer. I love my family dearly and miss them when we are away. We are a very close family!

Below(left to right/top) My sister-in-law Esther, me, my sister Diana, and my Mom.
(left to right/bottom) My Dad, my husband Paul, my brother Matthew, and my brother-in-law JayI love my sis so much...no one else can laugh with me like she does!
We stayed at a log cabin not too far from Branson http://www.loghavenlodge.com/
It was a very nice cabin, just not secluded like we had hoped...I'm sure we'd have to pay a lot more for seclusion. The weather was on the lousy side, so we stayed inside most of the time; hanging out and spending time together. My parents below were pretending this was their own house.

Some of these pictures were taken with a small point and shoot. There was a ton of fog and it left spots on all the images...oh well, you do what you can. The giant tree behind Paul and I was my favorite part about Silver Dollar City. It was lit with millions of lights which lit up in sync to music....very cool!
We walked around for hours!

The guys always have to have their video games!

Paul and I are heading for Minnesota for our Christmas with his Dad...hopefully I will have some images from our time there to share when I get back. Merry Christmas to all!

Engagement Promo Video::

Now that wedding season is over, I have been working on a few promotional tools and gearing up for the 2008 season. I've got some video software that I am still in the process of learning how to use, in the meantime, I found some shortcuts to making some basic videos. Below is a sample of my engagement promo.

Tis' the Season

I began December with a couple of family portraits. I didn't have much time this year to advertise for holiday portraits and cards, however, I love this time of the year and love creating images my clients will use to send to those they love.

The Johnson family came mainly for some 2yr old shots of their son, Brayden. He was such a cutie, but was not feeling too well, and on top of that....he was two, and two yr olds will be two year olds :)

Despite not feeling well, we did manage to pull off a few good ones. His "elephant sounds" were the best!

Nicole and I go back a few years. I captured her daughter, Taylor, right after she was born last May, and now I had the honor of their family holiday portraits. Taylor is growing so fast!

About Christina

One of my favorite memories from my own wedding, aside from marrying my husband, was when my Dad walked me down the aisle and I leaned over and whispered to him, "I'll always be your little girl."  I love that moment!
     It's moments that make up our lives, defines who we are, and ultimately create our destinies.  Many such moments have brought me to where I am today.  I began photographing in 2001, and began Sandberg Photography in the fall of 2006.  This has been a huge dream of mine, and I believe that God has given me a gift of capturing unique and special moments; without Him, I am truly nothing!  I owe this dream to Him!
